eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 9j204 TWO-GUN MAN LC '26 great close up of tough cowboy Fred Thomson & scared Olive Hasbrouck! Date Sold 7/20/2014Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Two-Gun Man, the 1926 David Kirkland silent cowboy western melodrama ("Story by Stewart Edward White"; with a screenplay by Frances Marion, Thomson's wife!) starring Fred Thomson, Silver King (billed as "and his wonderful horse"), Spottiswoode Aitken, Sheldon Lewis, Frank Hagney, Ivor McFadden, and Olive Hasbrouck. Note that star Fred Thomson was a major silent cowboy star (along with Tom Mix), but he is forgotten today, because he tragically died of tetanus just when sound movies started. Surely there should be a film biography of his life (perhaps Johnny Depp could play the lead role!). Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. Someone pasted newspaper ads for a bus company on the back of almost the entire card, but they don't have much effect on the front. There is uneven darkening in the bottom of the front of the card that was caused by something else. There are smudges and stains around the edges. There was a 1" tear in the left border that was mended when the ad was pasted to the back of it. There is a slight bit of the ads sticking out down the bottom of the right border. In spite of the above defects, the card displays pretty well, and certainly, any restorer could remove the ads from the back and perform the slight restoration needed.
