eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 1t019 SEVEN YEAR ITCH signed 8x10 reproduction '55 by Tom Ewell, who's w/Marilyn Monroe & her skirt! Date Sold 8/21/2008Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed 8" x 10" (8x10) Movie Still Reproduction (Learn More) The Seven Year Itch, the classic 1955 Billy Wilder married-man-with-roving-eye romantic comedy ("It's the stage riot that rocked New York for 3 years!"; "Based upon an original Play 'The Seven Year Itch' by George Axelrod"; the movie that features the famous scene where Marilyn is standing over the grating as her dress flies up around her legs; the entire movie was very sensational in its day!) starring Marilyn Monroe, Tom Ewell, Evelyn Keyes, Sonny Tufts, Robert Strauss, Oscar Homolka, Marguerite Chapman, Victor Moore (as the plumber; in his final movie role), Dolores Rosedale (billed as "Roxanne"), and Carolyn Jones. Note that the image of Marilyn Monroe with her skirt blowing up is rightfully the most remembered image of Marilyn from any of her movies. But this movie also has the memorable scene which was extremely risque for its time, where a naked Marilyn in a bubble bath gets her toe caught in the faucet and a plumber must free her! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by actor Tom Ewell! Note that Ray Campi was interviewing Tom Ewell in 1988, and he only had a reproduction still with his image on it, so that is what he had Mr. Ewell autograph! This autographed movie paper item comes to us from the personal collection of Ray Campi. Ray Campi was born in 1934 and in the 1950s, was a rockabilly musician, whose trademark was his white double bass (he is sometimes referred to as "The King of Rockabilly"). He left the performing life in the 1960s (after having supplemented his music career with lots and lots of unusual jobs!) and spent many years as a high school teacher, and also conducted hundreds of radio interviews with famous celebrities of past years (from movies, radio, TV, and music!) over a 25 year period. When he would schedule a guest for his interviews, he would obtain some movie paper memorabilia (almost always original release items, but sometimes re-releases, and in rare cases reproductions), and he would have that famous celebrity autograph those items while they conducted their interviews. eMoviePoster.com is offering these items directly from the collection of Ray Campi. In these days where so many people worry about the provenance of autographed items, it is so nice to be able to purchase items that were 100% certainly obtained in person, because Ray Campi was with the celebrity in question while they were signing this item! Those interested in learning more about Ray Campi can visit his website at http://www.electricearl.com/campi.html, and as he says on his site, "Ray Campi wants everyone to know that 'all rumors about my being dead are lies!' Ray would like to thank his friends for worrying about him." eMoviePoster.com is proud to offer this group of items from the Ray Campi collection, and we hope to offer many more in the future! Condition: fine. THIS IS A REPRODUCTION 8" x 10", BUT THE AUTOGRAPH IS OF COURSE AUTHENTIC! Learn More about condition grades
