Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

His Ancestors, the 1913 Thomas Edison "Photo-Play" silent romantic melodrama. All early Edison one-sheets had the same format with the Edison logos at top and bottom, the title at top, an image in the center, a copyright under the image, and a plot summary under the copyright.

Condition: very good. Prior to linenbacking, the poster was in very good condition. The poster had been folded an extra time, but it is in overall excellent condition, especially considering it is 90 years old! The poster had minor touch up along the folds and looks great! It should be noted that the linenbacker did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, as many linenbackers do. In addition, it seems quite possible that some of the blank borders were trimmed on all four sides to allow the poster to fit in a 27" x 41" frame (most early one-sheets measure 28" x 42", but this one measures 27" x 41" which would indicate 1/2" was trimmed from each blank border).
