6 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More)

Around the Corner, the 1930 Bert Glennon Jewish/Irish adoption family relationship romantic love triangle comedy melodrama (the success of the "Cohens and Kellys" series brought many "Irish/Jewish" movies, including this one, about a baby girl who is left on a doorstep and adopted by an Irish cop and a Jewish pawnbroker, and is raised in both faiths; when she grows up, she must choose between two very different men, with the help of her "fathers") starring George Sidney, Charles Murray, Joan Peers, Charles Delaney, and Larry Kent. Note that George Sidney and Charles Murray starred in the "Cohens and Kellys" series of movies. Note that Joan Peers was the daughter of a stage actor, and she appeared on stage with him as a child. As an adult, she made ten movies between 1929 and 1931 (when sound came in, Hollywood turned to Broadway actors, because they were used to speaking while acting!), but her career fizzled out, and we don't know what became of her, although she passed away in 1975.
