The Man who put the Man in roMANce"; "Directed by Alfred Hitchcock Director of 'The Man Who Knew Too Much"; "A hundred steps ahead of any picture this year"; from the novel by John Buchan; perhaps Alfred Hitchcock's best movie ever; there are too many wonderful plot twists and clever moments to describe here, but everyone should see this excellent movie!) starring Robert Donat, Madeleine Carroll, Lucie Mannheim, Godfrey Tearle, and Peggy Ashcroft NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fair to good. There is a slightly diagonal crack running across the top of the slide, and going through the top of the heads of the two stars at right. Otherwise, the slide is in pretty nice condition. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass.
