An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

Never Too Late, the 1935 Bernard B. Ray (billed as "Franklin Shamray") romantic crime action thriller ("A Panorama of Thrills, A Storm of Swift Action, plus A Golden Romance") starring Richard Talmadge, Thelma White, Robert Frazer, Mildred Harris Vera Lewis, Robert Walker, George Chesebro (billed as "Geo. Chesbro"), Bull Montana, and Paul Ellis. Note that Richard Talmadge was born "Sylvester Alphonse Metz", and he was an acrobat with the Barnum and Bailey Circus. He got a job in Hollywood as a stuntman for Douglas Fairbanks Sr., and then graduated to starring in movies, always performing lots of stunts. He had two acrobat brothers, Otto Metzetti and Victor Metz, who appeared with him in some of his movies. Note that the Robert Walker credited above was NOT the Robert Walker who starred in the 1940s and 1950s, but a different Robert Walker who started making movies in 1913, and he appeared in an amazing 255 movies through 1953, a 40 year span, but most of those were westerns, and a lot of them were very minor roles, often uncredited.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster is very old, and it would not make sense to attempt to roll it, as the paper is fragile enough that rolling it would likely damage it. Therefore we intend to send it in a very large flat package. Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster!

Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package. Some of these items can ONLY be sent in flat packages, and could not possibly be rolled into a tube. On some of them (for example f it is a size that might ordinarily be rolled in a tube, like a half-sheet), the reason it is in this auction is specifically because we feel it either CAN'T be rolled or because we feel it would be a mistake to roll it, because it might well damage the item. In the case of the few items that could be rolled, we will roll the item in a tube if the new owner insists, but only if they accept that they can't return the item if it is damaged from being rolled. So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it.

Condition: fair. There are extra creases along the folds, with some tears. There is paper loss at top center and creases and tears in the center of Talmadge's face. There are tears and paper loss around the edges. Obviously, this poster can be restored, but bear in mind its condition and the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
