The only thing we can imagine is that maybe it was intended to be used as part of a double bill, and that advertising for the movie could be either overprinted or handwritten in the large bottom area. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded.
