Robert Nathan was a novelist and poet from the 1910s to the 1980s. Many of his books were adapted into popular movies, including: The Bishop's Wife (which was later made into a film starring Cary Grant), and The Portrait of Jennie. He also wrote screenplays for movies like The White Cliffs of Dover, The Clock, and Pagan Love Song. He passed away in 1985 at the age of 91.
