Artist: Birney Lettick Important Added Info: Note that this poster is an oddity in that the artist's name is missing from the artwork at lower left! Some of the one-sheets we have auctioned from this title have "Lettick" printed at lower left, and some do not. One possibility would be that the poster was printed without his name, and then he complained and they did a new printing with it, and an equally likely possibility is that it was done with his name and then the studio removed it (likely not wanting artists to demand credit on ever poster). If anyone knows more about this poster and why Lettick's name is missing, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It also had staple holes in the top and bottom.
