An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Range Feud, the 1931 D. Ross Lederman romantic cowboy western ("Romance and Thrills!"; "Outdoor thrills and mystery!") starring Buck Jones ("The Screen's Greatest Outdoor Star!"), John Wayne, Susan Fleming (an actress who played minor roles in movies from 1931 to 1936, at which point she married Harpo Marx, and basically retired), Edward Le Saint, Will Walling, Wallace MacDonald, and Glenn Strange. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that in 1931, John Wayne was not a famous actor (he had had the starring role in "The Big Trail" the year before, but that movie did poorly at the box office, and he started taking roles in Buck Jones and Tim McCoy B-westerns at Columbia). So this card might well have been considered a "dead card" in 1931 (had there been any lobby card collectors then!), because it does not show Buck Jones and does not show a western scene. But finding early 1930s lobby cards with great images of John Wayne is incredibly difficult, and this is one of the very best such cards we have ever seen! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. The card has darkened, typical of Columbia lobby cards of this period. The card has pinholes in the corners, with a few creases and scuffs around the edges. There are faint stains near the center of the top blank border. There are two pieces of tape on the back of the center of two borders, but they were not put there for any restoration purpose.
