Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Lobby Card Movie Poster (measures approximately 28" x 39") (Learn More) Stephen King's The Dead Zone, the 1983 David Cronenberg Canadian/U.S. political psychic science fiction (sci-fi) paranormal thriller ("In his mind, he has the power to see the future. In his hands, he has the power to change it."; "Based on the Novel by Stephen King") starring Christopher Walken (as Johnny Smith), Brooke Adams (as Sarah Bracknell), Tom Skerritt, Herbert Lom (as Dr. Sam Weizak), Anthony Zerbe, Colleen Dewhurst, and Martin Sheen ("as 'Greg Stillson'") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. Note that this poster is one of a group of Australian lobby card posters (also called "photosheets" or "photo one-sheets"). This is a very rare type of poster solely made in Australia, and they are almost never offered for sale (over the past three years we have sold many thousands of Australian posters, and we have NEVER sold a single one of these before)! These posters were designed to be used by theater owners in one of two ways. They could be displayed as is, or cut up to create six "lobby cards", and a small banner (note that these are NOT perforated as are lobby card sheets from some other countries; you need to actually cut them to turn them into lobby cards). NOTE THAT ALL THESE POSTERS ARE COMPLETELY UNCUT! When they were cut, theater owners would put the banner on the box office glass, or on the theater door. It may be that these posters are so difficult to find because so many of them WERE cut up, and few uncut ones survive. Also note that included in the group we are selling are some rare country-of-origin posters from some classic Australian movies! tack holes at the ends of each of the foldlines and in each corner; minor creases and scuffs throughout the poster (more so along the foldlines); tiny area of paper loss in the upper left edge of the poster (see the image below); Learn More about condition grades
