An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) An American Widow, the 1917 Frank Reicher silent romantic love triangle marriage comedy ("From the play by Kellett Chambers"; "A Metro Wonderplay in 5 Acts"; about a widow who intends to marry a man she doesn't love for an inheritance, and she plans to leave him and be with her true love, but she ends up falling in love with her husband) starring Ethel Barrymore (billed as "Superb Ethel Barrymore"; one of 15 silent movies she made before going back to the stage, not returning to movies until 1932), Irving Cummings, H. Dudley Hawley, Ernest Stallard, and Charles Dickson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. When we auction slides that have a cardboard holder, we provide a separate image of how the cardboard holder looks, but when we auction slides with the black tape (like this one) we only provide the scan of the glass slide image, because that really is about all there is to see. Condition: very good. A small portion of the black tape is missing in the bottom border.
