Important Added Info: Note that this is an incredibly rare "printer's test" for the foil version of this 2001 re-release of this classic movie (see below for much more on this). It is important to note that this poster is on a heavyweight paper stock that really CAN'T be rolled, so it will need to be sent in a very large flat package, so bear that expense in mind before placing a bid on this poster. NOT ONLY HAVE WE NEVER AUCTIONED THIS POSTER BEFORE, BUT WE ONLY HAD A SINGLE POSTER FROM THIS RE-RELEASE BEFORE, AND THAT ONE WAS NOT A PRINTER'S TEST, AND IT HAD A SOLID BLACK BACKGROUND, AND IT AUCTIONED FOR $505. This is a very rare uncut printer's test poster (often referred to as a "printer's proof")! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of posters as "test" posters. Because they needed to be shown to people at the studio, people in the art department, the stars, etc, they would print a number of test posters and distribute them to these people. Some of them would be fully trimmed, but often they would leave the color chart on the left edge of many of the posters, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster (which explains why the poster measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]). Once these printer's test posters were shown to the various people in a position to "OK" them, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. Not only is a printer's test poster far more rare than a regular poster, but it is also 100% genuine as there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction! Note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]. Also note that this poster is printed on a much heavier than normal paper stock (we don't know why, but it is nice!). Finally, note that portions of this item are printed on a foil material and is very difficult to accurately photograph, but is quite striking when viewed in person! Also note that foil material scuffs quite easily, and is difficult to find in nice condition.

Condition: very good. There are a very few faint scuffs scattered around the edges of the poster, but this poster has probably survived in as good condition as one could hope, given that the foil printing surely scuffs extremely easily!
