An Undated (probably 1940s) Re-Release Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

The Lady Vanishes, the classic 1938 Alfred Hitchcock English romantic mystery crime kidnapping thriller ("From the story 'The Wheel Spins' by Ethel Lina White"; clearly one of Hitchcock's very finest movies; along with "The 39 Steps", his finest English movie!) starring Margaret Lockwood, Michael Redgrave, Paul Lukas, Dame May Whitty (in a memorable role, as "Miss Froy"), Cecil Parker, Linden Travers, Googie Withers, Naunton Wayne, and Basil Radford
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that some theater was looking for an insert on this movie, and they only had a 1938 first release still, so they created their own poster by making a cut out in the top for the still, and hand lettering the title and credits below it. We feel that the poster is from the 1940s, because Paul Lukas has been given top billing, but note that the still is a 1938 original. Please do not bid on this poster thinking it was created by a studio, as it was surely created by a local theater. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair to good. The still was attached from the back with paper tape in all four corners.
