An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 14 1/4" x 28 3/4" [36 x 73 cm]) (Learn More) Steel Preferred, the 1926 James P. Hogan silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("Adapted by Elliott J. Clawson from The Saturday Evening Post Stories 'The Adventures of Wally Gay' by Herschel S. Hall"; about an engineer in a steel mill who is demoted to a "steel puddler", who works with molten steel, because his superior is jealous of his relationship with the boss' daughter, but he beats up the superior and saves the daughter's life and invents a new steel making process!) starring Vera Reynolds, William Boyd, Hobart Bosworth, Charles Murray, Walter Long, and William V. Mong. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a remarkable find of 143 Argentinean posters from 1926 to 1929 that were recently discovered! They all measure approximately 14 1/4" x 28 1/4", which was one of the two main sizes created for Argentinean movie posters at that time (the other was a poster that measured 29" x 43"). It is likely that prior to this amazing find, there were only a small number of these posters known to exist in the entire world, and after these 143 are auctioned, it is unlikely that there will be many more discovered, even over the coming decades! This is a rare opportunity to purchase an Argentinean poster from the late 1920s, a time when virtually no movie posters from any country are known to exist! Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. There are a few minor patches of slight discoloration scattered in various areas (more so along the foldlines), typical of Argentinean posters of this time period. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
