Spend Christmas with Harry."; "It's everything you wished for this Christmas."; "Not the only one with a homemade sweater for Christmas?"; "It's everything you wished for... and more."; "Based on the novel by J.K. Rowling") starring Daniel Radcliffe (in the title role as Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (as Ron Weasley), Emma Watson (as Hermione Granger), Richard Harris (as Professor Dumbledore), Maggie Smith (as Professor McGonagall), Robbie Coltrane (as Hagrid), Ian Hart (as Professor Quirrell), Richard Brenner (as He Who Must Not Be Named), Alan Rickman (as Professor Snape), and John Cleese (as Nearly Headless Nick). Note that this film was known as "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" everywhere except the U.S., where it was known as "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". This was to keep the film consistent with the book series because the U.S. publisher, Scholastic, had changed the title of the book to "Sorcerer's". The change was likely due in part to American children not being familiar with the mythical alchemist substance. An uncited source states the publisher also thought that an American child would not want to read a book with the word 'philosopher' in the title! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 10 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills. Note that these are "international" style stills (meaning they were printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the use of the foreign title! Condition: very good to fine. The stills are in excellent condition! Learn More about condition grades
