An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Hangover Square, the 1945 John Brahm London England music composer amnesia crime murder horror thriller ("Horror was never so fascinating!"; "Based on the Novel by Partrick Hamilton"; Cregar is a composer who goes mad and commits murders he does not later remember; this was Cregar's first lead role after several memorable secondary roles; he wanted to remain a leading man, and he went on a massive crash diet after this movie was completed, losing 100 pounds, which sadly caused a heart attack, and he died soon after) starring Laird Cregar, Linda Darnell, George Sanders, Glenn Langan, Faye Marlowe, and Alan Napier NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. Condition: very good. The poster had an extra vertical foldline 1/2" to the left of the regular vertical foldline and there were many creases down both those foldlines and some tears in the area between the two foldlines. There were creases and a few smudges on the horizontal foldlines. There were pinholes in the corners and some tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer did very minimal restoration, so you can see some signs of the creases and tears on the foldlines. Learn More about condition grades
