An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Key Book Still (Learn More) True Confession, the 1937 Wesley Ruggles courtroom legal lawyer romantic screwball comedy ("The throbbing story of a wife who lied, and lied,... and lied!"; "Screen Play by Claude Binyon Based on a Play by by Louis Verneuil and Georges Berr"; about a pathological liar married to a successful lawyer who is so honest that it hurts his career; she gets accused of a murder she didn't commit, and her husband has to defend her, even though he isn't even sure she's innocent!) starring Carole Lombard, Fred MacMurray, John Barrymore, Una Merkel, Lynne Overman, Porter Hall, Edgar Kennedy, Fritz Feld, Toby Wing, and Tom Dugan (billed as "Tommy Dugan") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a key book still, printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Someone trimmed away the extra 1" from the left of the still. Condition: very good. The left 1" was neatly trimmed (see above). The still was printed slightly off center, which causes the image to be at a slight angle and the very bottom right of the credits to be slightly cut off. This was a somewhat common printing defect in vintage stills, and most collectors do not consider it a major defect if it is only slightly off center as it is in this case.
