An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 10 3/4" x 13 1/2" Movie Still (Learn More)

Dance Hall, the 1929 Melville W. Brown romantic love triangle aviation musical melodrama ("Vina Delmar's devastating drama of youth....."; about a young man who loves a beautiful hostess at a dance hall, but a famous aviator attracts her attention and the young man loses her, but when the aviator loses interest in her, she realizes she should return to her young man) starring Olive Borden, Arthur Lake, Margaret Seddon, and Ralph Emerson. Note that this was Vina Delmar's first Hollywood credit, for writing the source story. She would go on to a successful career as a screenwriter in the 1930s and 1940s, including writing "The Awful Truth". Also note that this was one of Arthur Lake's first feature films, after appearing in dozens of shorts. He would not achieve stardom for nine more years when he played the role of Dagwood Bumstead in the first of the very successful "Blondie" series in 1938.
