Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (as Spock), DeForest Kelley (as McCoy), James Doohan (as Scotty), Walter Koenig (as Chekov), George Takei (as Sulu), Nichelle Nichols (as Uhura), Bibi Besch, Paul Winfield ("as Terrell"), Kirstie Alley (billed as "introducing Kirstie Alley as Savvik"), and Ricardo Montalban (in the title role; billed as "starring Ricardo Montalban as Khan"). Note that the Star Trek TV show went off the air in 1969, with a cult following, but without a lot of general success. But there was enough interest built up over the following years that Star Trek: The Motion Picture was made in 1979. While the movie did well at the box office, it was not critically well received, and it looked like that might have been the end of the franchise, but then Nicholas Meyer wrote and directed this sequel, which was a giant critical and commercial success, and led to all the many sequels and spin-offs in the years since! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of each still, and then folded over to the front. This was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby (and of course, the snipe would be folded backwards, so it would not show). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THE SNIPES DO NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE FRONT OF THE STILLS! Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
