An Original Vintage Theatrical Local Theater Movie Herald (measures 5" x 7" when folded; 4 pages) (Learn More) a local theater herald for the Temple Theatre in Pulaski, New York, advertising the complete program for the days of December 13-28, 1936, comprising of the following movies: Libeled Lady, the 1936 Jack Conway comedy (nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Jean Harlow, William Powell, Myrna Loy, Spencer Tracy, and Walter Connolly. Can anyone imagine today's studios making a movie with so many top level stars? It is extremely rare to see three top stars in any movie, but this movie had four of the all-time greatest! AND Dancing Pirate, the 1936 Lloyd Corrigan romantic semi-historical musical ("The first dancing musical in 100% new Technicolor"; "Color adds enchantment to romance that rings with song and dance!") starring Charles Collins, Frank Morgan, Steffi Duna, Luis Alberni, Victor Varconi, and Jack La Rue AND Don't Turn 'em Loose, the 1936 Benjamin Stoloff crime thriller starring Lewis Stone, Bruce Cabot, Nella Walker, Betty Grable, and James Gleason AND The Longest Night, the 1936 Errol Taggart romantic mystery crime thriller (about a manager of a department store who is accused of stealing merchandise, and he has to catch the crooks who are doing the actual robbing, while romancing a pretty clerk) starring Robert Young, Florence Rice, Ted Healy (most famous as the person who started The Three Stooges; they were first billed as "Ted Healy and his Stooges"; he let them go on their own, hiring replacement "Stooges", but that did not work out well at all!), Julie Haydon, Catharine Doucet, and Sidney Toler. Note that in an amusing twist of irony, this movie was called "The Longest Night", but was actually the shortest feature film ever produced by MGM, running just 50 minutes long! AND End of the Trail, the 1936 Erle C. Kenton cowboy western (based on the Zane Grey story) starring Jack Holt, Louise Henry, Douglass Dumbrille, and Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams AND Kelly the Second, the 1936 Gus Meins boxing sports comedy (produced by Hal Roach) starring Max 'Slapsie Maxie' Rosenbloom, Patsy Kelly, Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams, Harold Huber, Billy Gilbert, and Charley Chase (primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts) AND Reunion, the 1936 Norman Taurog family comedy melodrama ("The dramatic homecoming of the country doctor's 3,000 grown-up 'babies'!") starring the Dionne Quintuplets (Yvonne, Cecile, Marie, Annette, Emelie), Jean Hersholt, Rochelle Hudson, Helen Vinson, Slim Summerville, Robert Kent, Dorothy Peterson, John Qualen, Alan Dinehart, J. Edwmard Bromberg, Sara Haden, Tom Moore, George Ernest, and Montagnu Love AND Cain and Mabel, the 1936 Lloyd Bacon boxing sports romantic comedy starring Marion Davies, Clark Gable, Allen Jenkins, Roscoe Karns, and Walter Catlett NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
