Date Sold 3/10/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Hills of Peril, the 1927 Lambert Hillyer & Reginald Lyons silent cowboy western (based on the play 'A Holy Terror' by George Abbott) starring Buck Jones, Georgia Hale, Charles R. Althoff, Marjorie Beebe and Buck Black. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that each has a snipe covering the title "A Holy Terror" which was the name of the play that this movie was based on! Condition: good to very good. Each has a snipe at lower right (see above). Learn More about condition grades
