appreciate the few businesses that still put a premium on having happy customers, because we had our
best sales year EVER in 2012, and in 2013 we are ahead of that pace!
Just a couple of days ago I had a problem with my cel phone barely working
for two days, so I called AT&T and after going through a few of the dreaded number menus I finally
got to a human being. I told her of the problem and she said "they knew of it in my area" and that
they were "working on it, but they couldn't say when it would be fixed".
I asked if I could get credit for the two days I had almost no service, and
she said "Sure I will transfer you" and I was BACK to the number menus, and when I pressed
the one for refunds, I was cut off! At this point I had wasted around 15 minutes on this nonsense,
and I gave up, which I am sure is what they want to happen, as it no doubt saves them many millions
a year.
And so it goes with many auctioneers, big and small. You get an item that
was clearly overgraded, and they make you feel like a bad guy for complaining in any way (or they
ignore you altogether) and you likely end up just forgetting about it, and they go on doing the same
to lots of other buyers.
