I am sure that when any of you stop to think about it, you realize how impressive it is that we can prepare THREE giant sets of unique auctions every WEEK (for years it was 3,000 auctions every week, but now we have lowered that to "only" around 2,500).

But that also means that we sometimes need to make some last minute changes to our schedule. Here is an example that just happened. We had planned to have an auction of negatives, transparencies and slides that was supposed to start August 25th.

But when it came time to start preparing this auction, I realized that because we had to spend extra time preparing our great "all-signed" auction (that starts the 20th) and because we needed more time to prepare the September Major Auction (that starts September 1st), I just did not have enough time to properly prepare the auction of negatives, transparencies and slides.

So how did I fix this? I took the auction originally scheduled to start on September 22nd (small miscellaneous items of all types), and moved that to August 25th (because it is a much easier auction to prepare) and "swapped" it with the negatives, transparencies and slides. So now, the auction of small miscellaneous items of all types begins on  August 25th, and the negatives, transparencies and slides now starts on September 22nd.

I am sure to run into more instances of this as long as we run so many auctions, and I ask all of you (bidders AND consignors) to be understanding of this, because without some creativity like this, we could NEVER run as many auctions as we do. Thanks very much, everyone!
