There is something unique about our latest set of unfolded one-sheets (the ones that end Thursday, August 11th). They contain MORE items from this century than from last century (554 of the 999 posters, to be exact)! This is the first time we've EVER had more 21st century posters than 20th century posters in a single set of auctions.

This is really ironic, because it was in around 2007 that we first even started auctioned any posters from after 1999, and even then it was just a single special poster here and there! But "time marches on", as they say, and there are lots and lots of collectors who collect posters from current movies (and those of the past couple of decades) and this is now one of the most vibrant sections of the hobby.

Of course, prices on these 21st century posters are almost all far under those of 20th century posters, and that lends to their appeal, because many can be purchased for under $5 (at least in eMoviePoster.com auctions) and even the best of them are mostly in the $10 to $25 range (with some notable exceptions, of course)!

Starting next week, all pre-1917 items we sell (movie and non-movie) will have the full four digit year in their auction titles in order to avoid confusion with items from later eras. This is so that, for example, items from 1915 are clearly identified separately from items from 2015.

We are also working to change our system so that ALL items carry a full four digit year. We are just taking some extra time to be sure there are no "Y2K" type of problems caused by making this change.
