Did You Know... just how many Want Lists are being used by registered bidders on our site (and how YOU can too)?Return to Did You Know Archive Added: 12/14/2015 Every week we get a BUNCH of emails from people asking us when we will next have an auction for a specific title (or an exact poster from that title) or maybe they want to know when we will next auction items from a specific star or genre. Often they will say that they check our auctions regularly, but that they are afraid they will "miss" some item (or items) of interest to them. When we receive such an email, we know for sure that the person does not know about our Want List system, which does exactly what they are asking, with does a few minutes of effort on their part, and for one-time only! Likely this is because the person is a newer bidder, who was not yet registered the last time we told all of you about this great feature! What is the Want List system? I'm glad you asked! Our "Want List" notification system (which is completely free!) allows you to save searches in our auction galleries. You can create saved searches using virtually any details including film title, movie stars, directors, specific poster sizes (one-sheets, lobby cards, Polish, etc.), genre, or anything else that appears in our auction description. Once you have set up your saved searches, you may come to this page to access them at any time, and you will receive an e-mail prior to the close of the auctions letting you know of any items we have that meet your searches. As of this writing, there are 2,481 of you registered bidders who use the Want List (which is about 60% of all registered bidders, and probably a significant percent of our regular buyers) and all combined, they have 36,913 searches they are being automatically notified about! If you aren't already using this great free feature of our site, you should really give it a try by going to our Want List page at https://www.emovieposter.com/members/wantlist.php This is a significant increase over the past year, but we wish that EVERY registered bidder would use this (whether to create a single "want list" item, or to create dozens) because then we know that we would hardly ever get an anguished email starting out "I missed bidding on an item I really wanted, because I learned of it too late".
