Did You Know... why we "only" have around 9,100 active registered users, compared to hundreds of thousands or millions on other sites?Return to Did You Know Archive Added: 10/19/2015 Sometimes people say to us, "I would like to consign to you, but you admit that you "only" have 9,100 active registered users, while some other sites say they have hundreds of thousands or millions of users, so why would I not go where there are some many more people viewing the auctions?" This is a case of needing to know "the rest of the story"! First off, we have sold to just under 40,000 different collectors, but we drop collectors off our "active registered users" list (and make their accounts inactive) when they have not bought from us for an entire year. This is because we have found those dormant accounts can sometimes be "hijacked" and why do we want to brag about customers who aren't currently buying from us? The sites that brag about the hundreds of thousands or millions of users NEVER delete any accounts, and they all count all of the inactive ones when giving a count. In addition, we have a strict "one person, one account" rule. Every other site allows each person to sign up for new accounts over and over (even after bidding and not paying), so their numbers are clearly VERY inflated. But most importantly, EVERY one of our 9,100 active registered users are MOVIE PAPER collectors, and ones who are currently buying. Other sites merge all their buyers, so you don't know if the numbers they report include even close to the number of active movie paper collectors that we have! Besides, we know full well there are lots and lots of collectors who "boycott" many other sites, because of the bad experiences they have had there. The bottom line is which site gets you the best results, when you compare "apples to apples and oranges to oranges" and we know that overall we deliver the best results.
