As many of you know, I, Bruce Hershenson, owner of eMoviePoster.com, have collected pressbooks (and related movie paper like studio yearbooks) for over 30 years, and I have the world's foremost collection of such material. I thought I would share one item with you each week, the type of items you almost surely have never seen before, and which might not come up for sale for DECADES!

This week, I have the pressbook from The Cohens and Kellys in Hollywood, the 1932 John Francis Dillon Los Angeles California Jewish/Irish in-law family comedy ("The laugh sensation of the nation!"; one of the series of movies about an Irish girl who marries a Jewish boy and their difficulties in bringing their families together) starring George Sidney, Charles Murray, June Clyde, Norman Foster, Esther Howard, Tom Mix, Frank Albertson, Lew Ayres, Sidney Fox (despite her name, she was a very pretty diminutive actress who began playing leading roles in 1931 at the age of 23, and she appeared in just 14 movies before retiring in 1934 when she married a studio executive; but she had an extremely unhappy abusive marriage, and she committed suicide in 1942, another one of those Hollywood tragedies we hear about all too often), Genevieve Tobin, Vivien Dale, Gloria Stuart (much later famous for her role in the box office smash "Titanic"), and Boris Karloff in cameo roles.
