An Original Vintage Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Still (Learn More) Frank Capra is perhaps the greatest American director of all-time, directing movies from the 1920s to the 1960s. Some of his movies include: Lady for a Day (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), It's a Wonderful Life, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, It Happened One Night (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Arsenic and Old Lace, Mr. Deeds Goes To Town (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Lost Horizon, You Can't Take It with You, and Meet John Doe. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 94 AND Basil Rathbone was a popular English stage and screen actor from the 1920s to the 1960s. He is best remembered for playing Sherlock Holmes in the popular series beginning in 1939. Some of his other movies include: The Adventures of Robin Hood, A Tale of Two Cities, The Court Jester (in which he played a comic version of the role he had played many years earlier in Robin Hood), Captain Blood, Son of Frankenstein (in the title role), The Mark of Zorro, The Dawn Patrol, Romeo & Juliet (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film) and If I Were King (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film) to name a few! He passed away in 1967 at the age of 75 AND Nigel Bruce was a Mexican-born English actor from the 1920s to the 1950s. He is best known as Doctor Watson in the long-running Sherlock Holmes movie series opposite Basil Rathbone. Some of his other movies include: World For Ransom, Limelight, and Rebecca. He passed away in 1953 at the age of 58.
