An Original Vintage Theatrical Swedish Special Herald (measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]) (Learn More)

Beggars of Life, the 1928 William A. Wellman silent/talking crime escape railroad train romantic adventure melodrama (based on the story by Jim Tully; in a significant portion of the movie, Brooks is disguised as a boy!) starring Wallace Beery, Richard Arlen, Louise Brooks (referred to only as "The Girl"), Blue Washington, Kewpie Morgan, Andy Clark, and Mike Donlin. Note that most film buffs consider this to be Louise Brooks' finest American movie!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this Swedish 8x10 is like a U.S. herald that has a star's image on one side and information about the movie on the other. But this is on a heavy board stock, and it appears it was created that way (the still was printed on a thin paper and glued to the board, that already had the Paramount information printed on the reverse). It would seem to surely be from the first release of the movie, because we would be very surprised if it was re-released, and even if it was, that someone would make heralds like this for it.

Condition: good. There are tears in the top left corner with tiny paper loss. There are water stains in the bottom and a 4" tear in the left of the bottom border, extending into the bottom of the image. There are some water stains on the other side (see our images).
