An Autographed UNUSED Blotter Sheet (measures 8" x 8") (Learn More) Timothy Leary was a psychologist and writer from the 1940s to the 1990s. He is best remembered for his advocacy of psychedelic drugs. Leary believed LSD and similar drugs had therapeutic potential and he popularized the catchphrase "turn on, tune in, drop out". He was arrested on drug charges many times in the 1960s and 1970s and President Nixon referred to him as "the most dangerous man in America". He appeared in a few movies, including: Shocker, Rude Awakening, and French Exit. He passed away in 2006 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that this item (which is a "blotter sheet", the kind which was used in the 1960s for "tabs" of LSD) has been personally autographed (signed) by Timothy Leary! Note that this signed blotter sheet was consigned to us from the estate of Bob DePietro, who was a very longtime collector/dealer of movie memorabilia. He also worked in the movie business, and had close contact with many celebrities, and acquired many signed items in person. He is no longer with us to tell us how this signed item was acquired (it is in a bag with a sticker from Butterfield & Butterfield on the front and information about a specific B&B sale on the back, but there is no guarantee that is accurate), and there is no certificate of authenticity, but we feel certain it is authentic. We know that many of you might wonder whether or not this blotter sheet contains hundreds of tabs of acid, and we assure you it does not! Condition: very good to fine.
