Date Sold 11/22/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage English Movie Trade Ad (measures 8 3/4" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]; 1 page) (Learn More) The Gentle Gunman, the 1952 (released in the U.S. in 1953) Basil Dearden English crime film noir ("They branded him a coward.... And paid in full for their mistake"; "Traitor? - Coward? - or Hero? His gun was always ready - to save life!"; "They started London's greatest manhunt!"; "The traitor... The trap... The trigger...") starring John Mills, Dirk Bogarde, Robert Beatty, Elizabeth Sellars, Gilbert Harding, and Barbara Mullen NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a great one-page trade ad taken out of an English Kinematograph Weekly magazine (we have a number of them in this set of auctions, and also some two-page English trade ads and a few English brochures). Studios would run these elaborate ads in issues of this magazine, and they often had images not found on any of the regular movie posters (either English or U.S.). This 1-page trade ad was removed from a 1953 issue of this magazine, and it will look incredible displayed on the new owner's wall. The back of this page has text or an ad for other movies from that time, and we have not pictured that back page because the primary interest to bidders is this great color ad (see our image)! Also note that this is a country of origin item for this English movie. Condition: good to very good. The ad was removed from a magazine (see above). Learn More about condition grades
