Hashimura Togo, the 1917 William C. de Mille romantic love triangle melodrama (about a Japanese diplomat who accepts disgrace that his brother committed, and he leaves Japan and goes to the U.S., where he works as a butler for a formerly rich family; the daughter is being pressured to marry a rich man when she loves someone else, and the butler is able to solve her problems, which allows him to return to Japan and marry his own sweetheart) starring Sessue Hayakawa (in the title role; he played many Asian villains in silent movies, and decades later triumphantly returned to the screen in "The Bridge Over the River Kwai"), Florence Vidor, Mabel Van Buren, Walter Long, and Tom Forman

Important Added Info: Note that 1917 movie paper for this title is extremely rare. We have only auctioned one other half-sheet (with a different image) and no other movie paper for this film in all our years of auctioning! Because this poster is quite old, it can't be reasonably rolled (because that would almost surely damage the poster) and it will need to be sent in a large flat package, so bear in mind this additional cost when bidding on this poster.

Condition: good. The poster was never folded. It has stains, pinholes and some tiny surface paper loss around the edges but the poster has otherwise survived in pretty nice condition and it is not very fragile, although it cannot be rolled (see above). While it can be displayed as it is, its defects are the sort that respond really well to restoration.
