She was first a singer and then a stage actress, which led to her appearing in Hollywood movies in the 1940s, but then she quit the movies and moved to England. Some of her movies include: Two Wise Maids, The Shining Future, The Desert Song, The Doughgirls, and Escape in the Desert. She passed away in 2004 at the age of 91. Important Added Info: Note that these stills all feature a specific actor or actress (sometimes portraits, but often in a scene from a movie that they were in). They come from the collection of Ken Jones, who was an author of many books about old-time actors, including many character actors.
