An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 25" x 38" [64 x 97 cm]) (Learn More) Mondo Sexo, the 1967 Dale Berry (billed as "Dale Berrystein") sexploitation crime thriller ("The story of the loveable [sic] love of a sex mad rapist and the lovely girls who enjoyed being seduced..."; "a shocker!!"; "Shock tested tale of lust... passion"; "Produced by Fanny Frankenstein"; a really despicable movie about a rapist whose victims so enjoy the experience that they want it to be repeated, but the rapist refuses and keeps raping new women, and finally, his victims gather together and have sex with him until he dies) starring Frenchy La Rue, Claudine Manson, Knockers O'Hare, Sylvia Bardette, Conrad Marcus, Jimmy Green and "the Tia-Juana Girls". Note that the names of the actors and crew are clearly pseudonyms ("produced by Fanny Frankenstein", etc), and we could find no information about this movie other than what is on the poster and in the pressbook, and a search of the Internet did not find much about this movie. But we did find that the director is actually "Dale Berry", who was Shelby Dale Berry of Texas. In the mid 1960s, he wrote, directed, produced, and/or acted in eight low budget sexploitation movies between 1961 and 1967. It appears that this movie was his final one, perhaps his "Citizen Kane", and then he completely retired. Why? It seems likely he was leading a double life, because he was a respectable married man with children who was involved in many children's charities, and obviously something occurred in 1967 that caused him to stop making these movies. He lived all the way until 2011, passing away at the age of 83. If anyone knows more about this movie or Dale Berry, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned this poster before in all our years of auctioning, although we have auctioned the pressbook, so we knew the poster existed, and we have been waiting many years to be consigned one! Also note that because this poster was folded slightly off center, it can not be sent in a regular flat package, but will need to be shipped in a slightly oversized flat package. Also note that this one-sheet measures 25" x 38" [64 x 97 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Condition: good. There is light water staining in each corner and in the center of the left and right borders. Otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition. After a simple linenbacking, it will display great.
