An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French Export (printed for use in English speaking countries) One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 43 1/2" x 58 3/4" [110 x 149 cm]) (Learn More)

Men Were Deceivers Ever, the 1913 Leonce Perret French silent marriage romantic comedy (about a man who flirts with other women, and his wife leaves him but they reunite when the wife becomes lonely without him!). Note that the original French title of this short is unknown
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that apparently this poster was created and used for several different comedy shorts (likely they either were part of a series, or they had the same actors). We say this because we have seen this poster for this movie, and also from "Leonce Flirt", a movie made the same year. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we were consigned this poster, which is a an extremely rare pre-World War II "country of origin" French poster! Virtually no French posters survive from the 1940s or earlier, because during World War II there were many paper shortages resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters! Also note that this French one-panel was printed in France, but was intended to be used when the movie was shown in English speaking countries.

Condition: fair to good. The poster has darkening and staining on all the folds and also scattered in parts of the poster. It has some tears and small paper loss in parts of the poster, more so in the folds and borders. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
