An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Three Godfathers, the 1936 Richard Boleslawski cowboy western ("Peter B. Kyne's great outdoor romance!"; about bank robbers who kill a man during a holdup, and they escape into the desert, and they find a woman who is giving birth, and she dies, but when they learn that the father was the man they killed, they feel it is their duty to get the baby to safety, but it is all they can do to save themselves) starring Chester Morris, Walter Brennan, Lewis Stone, Irene Hervey, Sidney Toler, Dorothy Tree and Roger Imhof. Note that the very first adaptation was by Broncho Billy Anderson in 1915's "Broncho Billy and the Baby", followed by another version a year later under the source novel's name, followed by a third version called "Marked Men" in 1919. The first sound version was titled "Hell's Heroes" and directed by William Wyler in 1929, and then it was remade twice more, both times under the source novel's name, in 1936 (this version), and in 1948. The 1948 version featured John Wayne, and the novel not directly remade again since that time, although other movies borrowed elements of the plot. Also note that movie paper of any kind from this early sound version of this movie is extremely scarce. In all the years I have sold movie posters, I have only ever seen a single lobby card, two window cards, and an Argentinean poster!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one lobby card from this movie, and that was 14 years ago! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. There is faint staining in the lower right of the image that extends down into the right of the title and bottom border. There are scuffs in the upper left of the image and creases in the top border. There are three tape repairs on the back of the borders.
