An Original Vintage 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Still (Learn More)

Mary Pickford was a Canadian actress from the 1900s to the 1930s. She was one of the top silent actresses, who specialized in playing young girl roles as an adult, and she was called "America's Sweetheart", and when she married Douglas Fairbanks, Sr., the country rejoiced (and the country mourned when they divorced!). Some of her movies include: Little Annie Rooney, Sparrows, My Best Girl, Coquette (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), and Tess of the Storm Country AND Kenneth Harlan was an actor from the 1910s to the 1940s. Some of his movies include: The Flame of the Yukon, Love, Honor and Obey, Polly of the Follies, Danger Island, and G-Men vs. The Black Dragon
Important Added Info: Note that this really cool still is from the end of World War I, when U.S. soldiers returned from France. One of those soldiers was Kenneth Harlan, who was a successful actor who had enlisted and served in France. He is holding Mary Pickford on his shoulders. She had gone to meet the boys of his 143rd Artillery, and they elected her the honorary colonel of their group!

Condition: good. There is a 3" vertical crease in the center of Pickford's torso. There is tiny paper loss in the left blank border and some faint smudges and scuffs around the edges.
