Barney Ross was a professional boxer and decorated World War II (WWII) veteran. Ross had a 72-4-3 boxing record, including 22 wins by knockout! Ross's morphine addiction and recovery were the subject of the 1957 movie "Monkey on My Back" (which was based on Barney Ross' autobiography, "No Man Stands Alone"). He passed away in 1967 at the age of 58.

Important Added Info: Note that this book, which is Barney Ross' autobiography, "No Man Stands Alone", which was made into the 1957 movie "Monkey On My Back", has been personally autographed (signed) by Barney Ross on the first blank interior page (see our image). Our consignor has no certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to be authentic. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads.

Condition: fair to good. There are scuffs, stains, tears, and some pieces of tape on the jacket. There is some staining on the first and last interior page, including light staining on the page with the autograph and inscription (see our images).
