An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Spanish Movie Poster (measures approximately 27" x 39") (Learn More) The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, the 1972 John Huston outlaw cowboy western biography ("If this story ain't true... it shoulda been."; "All he wanted was law and order... if he had to kill every last man to get it!"; "Original Screenplay by John Milius"; about the legendary outlaw Roy Bean, who declared himself a judge and thereby was able to legally rob the citizens) starring Paul Newman (in the title role as Judge Roy Bean), with "Guest Stars" Jacqueline Bisset, Tab Hunter, John Huston (as Grizzly Adams), Stacy Keach, Roddy McDowall, Anthony Perkins, Victoria Principal, Anthony Zerbe, and Ava Gardner ("as Lily Langtry"). Note that this movie has VERY unusual billing, where all of the lead actors were billed as "Guest Stars", with the exception of star Paul Newman! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are slightly noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had very tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, minor fold wear, pinholes in the corners, and minor border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. At some point after backing, the poster was roughly handled, and there is now a crease near the top left corner that slightly extends into the image background, but it is a minor crease, and not at all distracting.
