An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Son of Ingagi, the 1940 Richard C. Kahn black African American horror mystery comedy (about a young couple who gets married and there is a mysterious old voodoo lady, who has a literal ape man imprisoned in her basement, who does her bidding!) starring Zack Williams, Laura Bowman, Alfred Grant, Daisy Bufford, Arthur Ray, and The Four Toppers. Note that this movie is not a sequel to 1930's "Ingagi", made a decade earlier, except there are a few vague similarities. No doubt the all-black crew and cast of this movie hoped to gain viewers for this movie from those who remembered the earlier Ingagi, and thought this a sequel! This movie is sometimes referred to as the first all-black horror film, and movie paper from it is extremely rare.
Important Added Info: Note that first release 1940 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a lobby card and two stills from this movie until we received this lobby card! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. There are pinholes in the corners and in the center of the top and bottom blank borders, with some faint smudges, tiny creases, and a few faint stains in the borders. There are some light stains in the upper right blue border art and a lesser amount in the lower left blue border art. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
