An Original Vintage Theatrical Kraftbacked Folded French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 45 1/2" x 62 1/2" [116 x 159 cm]) (Learn More) Mademoiselle de la Ferte (literally translates to "Mademoiselle of Ferte"), the 1949 Roger Dallier French romantic revenge melodrama starring Jany Holt (in the title role as Anne de la Ferte), Francoise Christophe, Jean Servais, Jean Brochard, Palau, Pierre Cressoy, and Jean Paredes. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Jacques Bonneaud Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this French poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie! Also note that French posters from the first few years after World War II are among the most rare posters there are! Apparently, there were still major paper shortages in France, and few posters were printed, and most were recycled. This is an extremely rare French poster from 1949. Also note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great! Condition: fair to good. Learn More about condition grades
