An Original Vintage Pulp Magazine (measures 6 3/4" x 9 3/4" [17 x 25 cm]) (Learn More)

Weird Tales was described by science fiction historian Robert Weinberg as "the most important and influential of all fantasy magazines". It was first published in 1923 and it included early work by H.P. Lovecraft, C.A. Smith, and many others, and it is best remembered for its wonderful covers, especially the legendary sexy ones by female artist Margaret Brundage! It changed publishers and owners several times and ceased publication in 1954. There were attempts to revive it over the years, but none had much success. It is among the most desirable of all pulp magazines!
Artist: Margaret Brundage
Important Added Info: Note that this issue, October 1933, has perhaps Margaret Brundage's most famous painting on the cover! We have never auctioned it before!

Condition: good. The interior pages have darkened, more so around the edges, but they do not have chipping around the edges. There is clear tape at the top of the spine extending into the top left of the "W" on the cover and extending into the blank top right corner of the back cover. There is scuffing on the cover (see our many images to get a good sense of the condition of this rare and desirable pulp magazine).
