An Autographed 1" x 4 1/4" Cut Album Page (Learn More) Rosemary Lane was an actress from the 1930s to the 1940s. She was one of the Lane Sisters (three sisters who performed together with Gale Page in a series of movies where they played four sisters). Some of her movies include: Four Daughters, The Oklahoma Kid, and Blackwell's Island. Note that most people would naturally assume that there were only three Lane sisters in real life, which was why they had to cast a non-sister in the role of the fourth movie sister. But actually, they DID have a fourth sister, Leota, but she had a screen test, and did so poorly that she was sent home (which surely must have made for strained holiday dinners!). Rosemary passed away in 1974 at the age of 60. Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Rosemary Lane. It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that this item has been trimmed and it now measures 1" x 4 1/4" [3 x 11 cm]. This autograph (and others from this same collection we are offering in separate auctions) comes from the estate of Dorothy Credille, who was a Hollywood publicist in the 1930s to the 1950s. During the course of her work, she became personal friends and an acquaintance of all the top Hollywood stars, and she collected many autographs in an autograph book (as well as some signed 8x10s and 11x14s). Someone took the autograph book and cut out the individual autographs, and this is one of those autographs from that book. We feel certain that it is authentic. Condition: good to very good.
