Different! Delightful!"; "Here comes rich laughter! Here comes warm emotion!"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about a boxer who is killed "by mistake", and an angel gives him a new body, because his old one was destroyed; he becomes a rich man, but he doesn't like his new life, and it is complicated by him finding the love of his life, but fortunately, the head angel finds a solution to all his problems) starring Robert Montgomery (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Claude Rains, Evelyn Keyes, James Gleason (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Edward Everett Horton, Rita Johnson, and John Emery. Note that Warren Beatty remade this movie in 1978, very closely following the original plot, but changing boxing to football, and he changed the name to "Heaven Can Wait", which was the name of the source play for this movie (it was not used for this movie, and it was used two years later on a different major 1940s comedy, starring Don Ameche) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Note also that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: fair. The poster has darkened and the paper has become somewhat fragile. it has significant creases, defects, areas of paper loss and tears of varying lengths along parts of some edges and some other defects that can be clearly seen in our super-sized image and some are repaired with tape from the back.
