An Original Vintage Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Still (Learn More) The Cab Calloway Orchestra, originally based at the exclusive Cotton Club in Harlem, was one of the most important jazz bands in America. In 1930, Cab Calloway was hired to replace Duke Ellington at the Cotton Club, When the Cotton Club closed in 1940, Calloway and his band went on a tour of the United States. Members have included: Dizzy Gillespie, DePriest Wheeler, Walter 'Foots' Thomas, Harry White, Danny Barker, Cozy Cole, and many more! Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock.
UPDATED 04/21/2021: Note that a knowledgeable collector identified the musicians in this still and we have updated the auction accordingly. Condition: good to very good. There are many very tiny dot stains scattered throughout the still, but they are mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light. The still was once glued to something, and there is glue staining on the back of the borders, but it has no effect on the front. Learn More about condition grades
