An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

There's Always Vanilla, the 1972 George A. Romero Pittsburgh Pennsylvania romantic comedy melodrama ("Every woman knows why the wrong man is irresistible!"; "They were in love... for awhile it didn't matter!") starring Raymond Laine (billed as "Ray Laine"), Judith Ridley (billed as "Judith Streiner"), Roger McGovern, Johanna Lawrence, and Richard Ricci. George Romero made this movie after Night of the Living Dead, and he says it was his "worst movie"! It was shown to distributors in 1971 and apparently had a world premiere at the Shadyside Theater in Pittsburgh on March 2, 1972. It seems that it was a total bomb and played at few, if any, other places after that, and it was then withdrawn. In 1974, it got a wider re-release as "The Affair".

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this 1972 first release one-sheet. Not only that, but we have never auctioned ANY first release movie paper from this early George Romero movie! It surely received an incredibly limited release (see above), and we don't know that ANY movie paper survived from that very limited release. Surely this the most difficult one-sheet for any George Romero collector to obtain! In addition, we have only auctioned two one-sheets from the 1974 re-titled re-release, so even material from that is extremely rare!

Condition: very good. Someone wrote "Always Vanilla" in the bottom right blank corner. Otherwise the poster has the most minor of fold and border wear.
