Important Added Info: Note that included with the 29 stills are 32 supplements, several of which have printed cover sheets with a logo for the movie including art. There are also several pages of notes about the movie taken by reviewer Nevart Apikian, likely when she interviewed people connected with the movie at the premiere. There is a letter from Fox to Miss Apikian thanking her for enjoying the movie and another letter thanking her for sending pictures she took. There is a menu from the dinner that was held at this festival and a metal printing block of an ad with a positive image. There is a program book from the movie and two brochures, one for the press tour, which has Miss Apikian's name written on it, and the other a production information guide. There is a folder which contains many of the supplements and it has the printed logo on the cover. There is a 3" circular pin for the movie with different art, but the most interesting item in this is a really wild book of matches created as a promo for the movie with full-color art from the movie and the title of the movie on the cover of the matchbook and full-color photos from the movie on the other side. What makes the matchbook so interesting is that it measures 2" x 12" (no doubt to stress the widescreen aspect of the movie!). We have never seen a matchbook this big! We can't imagine that much of this material survives elsewhere, and it would probably take a lifetime to assemble all of it, but the winning bidder will get it all!

Note that this item is from the personal collection of Nevart Apikian, who wrote an entertainment column for the Syracuse Post Standard for nearly 50 years. It was acquired from her estate after her passing. Over the past few years, we have auctioned some of the items from her collection, but NOW, we have been consigned 57 excellent items that we are auctioning all at once, in 57 separate auctions! This collection consists of promotional materialthis columnist was sent from studios about movies that were about to open, in order to help her write a more complete review of the movies. In some cases, she was invited to special premieres and publicity events! She was often sent presskits or sets of stills, but often the studio included additional items, some of which were never sent to theaters, and were likely only sent to other columnists. This collection includes sets of stills, presskits, and other items, and all of the sets of stills and presskits come with supplements, and in some cases they have areas underlined or noted on the fronts and some have long handwritten information within by Ms. Apikian, from when she either watched the premiere or conducted interviews with people connected to the movie, in preparation writing her review. For each item, we have noted exactly what is contained in the auction, and we have noted when there are handwritten notes. While we have auctioned sets of stills or presskits from all of these movies before, many of them contain additional items that we have NEVER auctioned before (and may never auction again, given that they were likely only sent to a select group of reviewers).

Condition: very good to fine. All the items are in nice condition, but what is most amazing is that the matchbook not only is unused, but appears that it could still be used, because it does not seem to have deteriorated in the slightest!
