RANDOLPH SCOTT (personality) RANDOLPH SCOTT (personality) 8x10 OR search current auctions Auction History Result 2a355 RANDOLPH SCOTT signed 8x9.75 still '44 w/ co-stars in China Sky by Oliver Sigurdson! Date Sold 6/19/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Randolph Scott was an actor from the 1930s to the 1960s (although he had some uncredited roles in the very late 1920s). He played a wide variety of roles in the 1930s, but later in his career starred mostly in cowboy western movies. He had a very memorable final role in Ride the High Country, opposite Joel McCrea! Some of his other movies include: Seven Men From now, My Favorite Wife, The Tall T, and Ride Lonesome. Most people believe that he was a gay man, but because of the attitudes of the time, he had to "remain in the closet" (and there are some who dispute that he was gay; he was married twice, and had two adopted children, but also lived with Cary Grant for twelve years!). Scott passed away in 1987 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Randolph Scott! Also note that this still measures 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Note that our consignor long ago inherited an autograph collection from his father, who had obtained them in person many decades ago. After he inherited the collection, our consignor purchased a few more autographs, and then stored away the entire collection, and he has only now decided to auction the items. We feel it is extremely likely that the autographs are authentic, especially because they were obtained many years ago, before the autograph hobby became commercialized. Condition: very good to fine.
