Mystery Plane, the 1939 George Waggner Tailspin Tommy airplane aviation pilot adventure thriller ("America's favorite comic strip is on the screen!"; "Original Story by Hal Forrest", who was the creator of the newspaper cartoon strip this movie was based on) starring John Trent (as Tailspin Tommy Tompkins), Marjorie Reynolds, Milburn Stone, Jason Robards Sr., and George Lynn

Important Added Info: Note that Monogram Pictures regularly gave their serials re-releases to theaters several years after the initial release. When they would do this, they would print new posters that were exactly the same as the first release posters, but the re-release posters were two-color, whereas the original release posters were full-color, which is the only way you can tell the difference between the two. Re-release Monogram serial posters (the ones for the entire serial) are often mistakenly sold as original, by people who do not know the above information. The poster offered here is from the first 1939 release of this serial.

Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top crossfold and 1" to the right of the middle crossfold. There were pinholes in the corners and minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border to allow it to more easily fit in a frame)
